Travel is one of Abby's favorite parts of gymnastics and she loves exploring new places.
Abby was enrolled into "Mommy and Me" classes at the age of three and she fell in love with the sport immediately! She was invited onto pre-team and quickly progressed in the sport. She started her competitive gymnastics career at TAGS South Gymnastics in Apple Valley, MN. In the summer of 2011, Abby started training at Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen, MN.
Abby began competing level 8 in 2012 and qualified to the State Championships. In 2013, she finished ninth in the all-around with a 36.450 at the Level 8 State Championships, qualifying to the Region 4 Championships. Abby moved up to level 9 for the 2014 season where she qualified to the Region 4 Championships. As a second-year level 9 gymnast in 2015, Abby finished seventh in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she placed seventh in the all-around, third on floor exercise and fifth on vault and uneven bars. This qualified Abby to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Spokane, WA. In 2016, Abby finished second in the all-around and third on vault at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 4 Championships. She was unable to compete at Regionals due to an injury.
Currently, Abigail is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 9/10 gymnast where she hopes to qualify to the Level 9 Western Nationals. She trains 20 hours per week at Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen, MN under coaches Bryon Hough and Charise Schrupp. Abigail is working hard to reach her goals to become a successful level 10 gymnast and to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
