Adelaide Liebhardt was born on December 8, 2002 in Oregon to Steve and Annette Liebhardt. She has a brother, Gibson and a dog named Tela. Currently, Adelaide is an honor student at Churchill High School and she will graduate in 2021. She is a member of National Honor Society and board member of her school's interact club. She is also part of Rachel Carson program- environmental science program and National Society of High School Scholars. When Adelaide has time outside of gymnastics she enjoys hiking, camping and hanging out with her family and friends. She enjoys participating in community activities that help acknowledge the need for change.

When Adelaide was four years old, she looked over a balcony at a ballet and gymnastics studio and saw a girl do a front handspring, that was all it took for her to know that this was exactly what she wanted to do. Adelaide has been training at U.S. Gymnastics Academy in Eugene, OR her whole gymnastics career. As a level 4 gymnast in 2010, Adelaide placed sixth in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the 2011 Level 5 State Championships, she finished third in the all-around and second on floor exercise.

In 2015 as a level 8 gymnast, Adelaide placed second in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on vault at the State Championships. She was named to Oregon State Team for the Region 2 Championships. She continued competing level 8 in 2016 where she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.100 and fifth on balance beam at the Region 2 Championships. Adelaide moved up to level 9 for the 2017 season, finishing second on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 2 Championships, she placed third in the all-around and second on vault and balance beam. She qualified to the Western Nationals in Boise, ID.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2018, Adelaide placed third on vault and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She was unable to qualify to the Regionals due to an illness. In 2019, Adelaide dislocated her ankle and was unable to compete most of the season. In 2020, Adelaide qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Adelaide trains 21-25 hours per week at National Academy Of Artistic Gymnastics in Eugene, OR under coaches Kira Oldham-Curtis and Jami Lanz-Bressler. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
