Alexandra was born on December 4, 1998 in Pittsburgh, PA to Henry and Sherri Fochler. She has a brother, Elias attending Pennsylvania State University playing inline hockey. Currently, Alex is a senior at Pennsylvania Cyber School and she will graduate from high school in 2017. She is taking all Honors classes.

Alex tried a class at the age of five and fell in love with gymnastics. She has been training at X-Cel Gymnastics her entire gymnastics career working under coaches Frank Klein, Biyu Sun and other dedicated coaches.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2010, Alexandra finished first on uneven bars and balance beam and third in the all-around at the Jingle Bell Rock Invitational. At the Stars and Stripes Invitational, she placed first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around. She finished third in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the Buckeye Classic. Alexandra did really well at the Derby Classic where she finished first in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on vault and uneven bars. She concluded her season at the State Championships, finishing fourth on vault and second on uneven bars.

Alexandra moved up to level 9 for the 2011 season. She finished fourth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the Stars and Stripes Invitational. She earned a silver medal on uneven bars at the Buckeye Classic. At the Tim Rand Invitational, she finished third on balance beam and floor exercise. Alexandra placed second in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 7 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.000 as well as second on uneven bars and floor exercise and third on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2012, Alexandra placed first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the Coaches Spectacular. At the Parkettes Invitational, she placed fourth on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around with a 36.700. She won the uneven bars title at the Magical Classic. At the Derby Classic, she finished fourth in the all-around and second on uneven bars. Alexandra finished fifth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed 12th in the all-around. She competed at the Junior Olympic National Invitational Tournament.

In 2013, Alexandra started her season at the Christmas on the Chesapeake where she finished first on uneven bars and second on vault. She placed fourth on uneven bars and in the all-around at the Coaches Spectacular. At the Buckeye Classic, she placed second in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam. She finished second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Derby Classic. She did not compete the post-season.

Alexandra started her 2014 season at the Coaches Spectacular, finishing first on floor exercise and in the all-around. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she placed seventh in the all-around, third on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise. She placed third on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. Alexandra grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Derby Classic. At the State Championships, she earned a bronze medal on floor exercise. Alexandra did really well at the Level 10 Regionals where she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.250, second on balance beam and sixth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Jackson, MS and placed 26th in the all-around with a 37.275 and sixth on uneven bars out of 56 gymnasts. Alexandra missed most of the 2015 season due to an injury.

In 2016, Alex finished fifth in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed fifth on uneven bars.

Currently, Alex is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 33 hours per week at X-Cel Gymnastics under coaches Frank Klein, Biyu Sun and Lindsey Stancil. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years as well as to compete for a college gymnastics team.
