Alexandra "Alex" Theodorou was born on October 29, 2002 in Arizona to Kevin Theodorou and Tina Kwasnica. She has a brother, Brandon and three dogs named Belle, Aurora and Lucky. Currently, Alex is an honor student at Chaparral High School and she will graduate from high school in 2021. Alex has been in Honors High School Math since middle school.

Alex had a lot of energy when she was a toddler, so her parents enrolled her into Mommy and Me classes at the age of two. She started her gymnastics career at Scottsdale Gymnastics in Scottsdale, AZ. Following her level 7 season in 2011, she moved to Arizona Sunrays in Phoenix, AZ. When Alex was at Sunrays, she placed third in the all-around with a 37.600 and second on uneven bars and balance beam at the 2012 Level 7 State Championships. As a level 8 gymnast in 2013, Alex placed first in the all-around with a 37.575 and first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around with a 37.450 and fourth on vault and uneven bars.

Alex did tumbling and trampoline simultaneously with artistic through level 9 artistic gymnastics. She was Jumpstart National Team for both trampoline and tumbling. She was Level 7 Tumbling National Champion in 2011 and Level 9 Tumbling National Champion 2012. Alex was also on Tops "A" National Team.

In the summer of 2013, Alex moved to Desert Lights Gymnastics in Chandler, AZ so she could pursue a potential elite career. She moved up to level 9 for the 2014 season. She placed third in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, Alex finished ninth in the all-around with a 37.425. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she earned a bronze medal on uneven bars.

In 2015 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, Alex placed sixth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Region 1 Championships. That same season, Alex qualified to hopes pre-elite where she competed at the Hopes Championships in Chicago, IL in the summer of 2015. In 2016, Alex finished second in the all-around with a 37.075 and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she placed ninth in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars. She was named alternate for the Junior Olympic Nationals.

Alex obtained her junior international elite compulsory score with a 36.550 in January 2017. She won the all-around title at the State Championships along with a silver medal on floor exercise and a bronze medal on vault. At the Region 1 Championships, she finished second in the all-around with a 37.900, first on floor exercise and second on uneven bars. Alex qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she earned a bronze medal on uneven bars.

In 2018, Alex qualified to compulsories, a portion of elite testing in the first meet of the season by winning the all-around title with a 36.450. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a 37.675 and first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. Alex placed seventh in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Region 1 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH, finishing 27th overall with a 37.275 and 15th on vault. In 2019, Alex earned gold medals on uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.975 at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she finished second in the all-around with a 38.250 and first on vault and floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, finishing sixth in the all-around with a 37.725, fourth on vault and fifth on floor exercise.

Alex trains 30 hours per week at Desert Lights Gymnastics in Chandler, AZ under coaches Lisa Spini, Bruce McGehee, Bob Peterson, Neela Nelson, John Enrico and Kari Ward. Alex would like to become an elite gymnast and to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
