Alex's mom grew up doing gymnastics and she is a recreational coach. Naturally, her mom put her in mommy and me classes when she turned two years old. Alex would not let her mom to coach her. She would push her mom away and only let the other coach teach her. After a few weeks, they told her mom they do not ordinarily put a kid that young in a preschool class, but since Alex does not need her mom to be there they wanted to try. She did fine without her mom. Alex is a very hard worker. She is determined and pushes herself constantly to do her best. She also has a great attitude.

At the beginning of Alex's gymnastics career, she trained at Legacy Gymnastics Academy in Friendswood, TX for four years. When she was at Legacy, she earned a bronze medal on uneven bars with a 9.675 and placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.950 at the 2016 Level 6 State Championships. Following her level 6 season, she moved to Pearland Elite Training Center in Pearland, TX.

Alex competed as a level 7 gymnast in 2017 where she placed eighth in the all-around with a 38.075 and sixth on floor exercise with a 9.700 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing ninth in the all-around with a 37.525 and fourth on vault. Alex placed in the top ten in the all-around at the 2018 Level 8 State Championships and 2018 Region 3 Championships, scoring a 37.375 and 37.250 respectively.

In 2019, Alex moved up to level 9 where she placed fifth in the all-around, first on vault and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing fourth on vault. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2020, Alex qualified the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Alex placed sixth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships and 11th overall at the Region 3 Championships.

In 2023, Alex placed in the top ten in the all-around and fifth on vault at both State Championships and Region 3 Championships.

When Alex isn't busy training over 30 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys drawing, photography, surfing, baking and cooking. She is the daughter to Amber and Chris Allan and she has an older brother and a younger sister. Currently, Alex is an honor student at iUniversity Prep and she will graduate in 2025. Alex volunteers with the local Chamber of Commerce to organize donations and buy & distribute donations to Bay Area Turning Point (A local woman’s shelter).
