Allie Murphy was born on August 21, 2001 in Massachusetts to Dave and Amy Murphy. She has an older brother, Luke, a younger brother, Charlie and a younger sister, Tessie. Currently, Allie is an honor student at Scituate High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. When Allie has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs and playing other sports.

Allie started taking recreational classes at the age of two because she would climb on everything at home. Her mom was a gymnast for the University of New Hampshire, so she knew gymnastics would be a fun and safe environment for Allie to burn off energy. Allie joined pre-team at Head Over heels Gymnastics in Norwell, MA and has been there most of her gymnastics career.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2010, Allie finished first in the all-around with a 38.050, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 5 for the 2011 season where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.825, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the 2012 Level 6 State Championships, Allie finished second in the all-around with a 37.475, second on floor exercise and third on uneven bars.

In 2013, Allie qualified to the Level 7 State Championships where she placed in the top ten in the all-around. She then placed third in the all-around with a 37.150, third on balance beam and fourth on uneven bars at the 2014 Level 7 State Championships. As a level 8 gymnast tin 2015, Allie qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. Allie continued competing level 8 in 2016. She finished second in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing sixth in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise.

Allie moved up to level 9 for the 2017 season where she placed second on balance beam and fourth on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around, second on floor exercise and third on balance beam. Allie qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI where she placed fourth on balance beam.

Allie trains over 20 hours per week at Head Over Heels Gymnastics in Norwell, MA under coaches Patty Anderson and Jocelyn Palmer. Allie's long-term goal is to compete for a a Division I college gymnastics team.
