Amanda Jetter was born on November 6, 1994. She trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, better known as CGA, under Mary Lee Tracy, Amy Wert and Enrique Trabanino. She was a member of the 2003 and 2005 TOPS National Team. Currently, Amanda is a senior international elite gymnast.
In 2004, Amanda competed as a level eight. She finished third on beam at Level 8 Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2005. Amanda won a bronze medal on balance beam at the Buckeye Classic. She finished fourth on beam at Level 9 Regionals. Amanda also finished eleventh in the all-around. This qualified her for the Level 9 Eastern Championships. She finished in the top twenty all-around and fourth on balance beam.
Amanda competed level nine again in 2006. She finished first all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational and the Coaches Cup. At Level 9 Regionals, she won the floor title. She finished fifth in the all-around. Amanda's final meet of the season was the Level 9 Eastern Championships. She won uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around title! In the summer, she qualified as a Hopes Elite. She placed fourth overall at the US Challenge.
She moved up to level ten in 2007. Amanda won the IGI Chicago Style and Coaches Cup. At the Ohio State Championships, she won the all-around, vault and floor state titles. She won the JO National Championships! Besides the all-around title, she also won balance beam and floor exercise . After the level ten season, Amanda qualified to junior international elite. She qualified for the US National Championships at the US Classic. At Amanda's first US National Championship, she placed 14th in the all-around after both days of competition. She missed making the team by two slots.
Amanda started off the 2008 season at CGA's hosted meet, the Coaches Spectacular. She only competed in two events, due to a healing ingury. She placed third on bars and second on beam, under level 10 rules. Amanda competed at the US Classic, where she finished fourth in the all-around, behind teammate Cassie Whitcomb. She also finished second on beam and floor . Easily qualifing to her second US National Championships. Amanda had a great showing at Nationals, finishing fifth on day one and third on day two. With her combined scores for both days, Amanda was fifth in the all-around, making her first US National Team. Amanda got her first international assignment to International Gymnastics Challenge in Beglium. There, she finished third in the all-around.
In July 2009, Amanda traveled to the US Covergirl Classic in Des Moines, Iowa, where she finished 14th in the all-around and second on floor exercise. At the VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas, Amanda finished fifth in the all-around, sixth on uneven bars and ninth on balance beam. There, she qualifed to the US National Team for the second time. In the end of October, Amanda was assigned to International Tournament of Pas-de-Calais in France. On the first day of the competition in France, Amanda won the all-around title in the junior division and won the team gold medal with teammate Cassie Whitcomb. On the second day during the event finals, Amanda won a bronze medal on uneven bars and a gold medal on floor exercise.
