Today, Amanda has withdrawn from the VISA Championships this week due to strained Achilles. This occurred this morning's training when she was practicing Arabian double front on floor. Get well soon Amanda!

Amanda's fourth VISA Championships is starting this week in Hartford, CT! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, August 12 at 7:00 PM EST. She is fifth person to go on vault during the first rotation. The second day will be on Saturday, August 14. Amanda had a solid meet last night at the US Covergirl Classic in Chicago, IL. She finished second in the all-around with a 56.850. Amanda placed fifth on vault (14.550), eighth on uneven bars (14.400) and sixth on floor exercise (14.150). Look for new pictures and videos from the meet later this week.

Amanda will be competing at the US Covergirl Classic this weekend on July 24 in Chicago, Illinois. She will be in the senior session at 7:00 p.m. at the UIC Pavilion. Amanda has already qualified for the VISA Championships in Hartford, CT. She will use this competition as a warm up. The Universal Sports will be broadcasting the US Covergirl Classic live. Amanda was in Jesolo, Italy last weekend. She helped the USA team to win ahead of Russia and Italy. She finished sixth in the all-around with a 55.450. Good job Amanda! Full results have been posted from the meet. Many new pictures will be coming soon.

Amanda received an international assignment today at the US National Training Camp. She, along with Morgan Smith (Brandy's), Cassie Whitcomb (CGA), Mackenzie Caquatto (Legacy Elite), Alex Raisman (Brestyans), Kytra Hunter (Hills), Sabrina Vega (Dynamic) and Kyla Ross (GymMax), will be representing the USA team at the 2010 ITrofeo Citta di Jesolo. This competition will be in Jesolo, Italy starting next week, March 22-27. Congratulations Amanda!

Amanda competed on two events this past weekend at the 2010 Coaches Spectacular. She easily won both uneven bars and balance beam titles scoring a 9.700 and 9.600 respectively. Good job Amanda!

The second day of the International Tournament of Pas-de-Calais concluded today. Amanda did really well on uneven bars and floor exercise, where she won a bronze medal and a gold medal respectively. Good job Amanda!

Amanda just finished competing at the first day of the International Tournament of Pas-de-Calais. She did really well, where she went 4 for 4 and finished first in the all-around in the junior division. She and teammate Cassie Whitcomb won the team title. Amanda qualified to uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise event finals tomorrow. Congratulations Amanda!

Amanda and teammate Cassie Whitcomb made it to Arques, France safely yesterday. They will be competing on Friday and Saturday at the 2009 International Tournament of Pas-de-Calais. This competition will include gymnasts from all over the world. We will try out best to keep the website updated with latest news, results and pictures from the competition. Unfortunately, there was a complication with Amanda's Visa; she won't be able to go to Brazil this week. However, Amanda was assigned to City of Arques competition in Arques, France on December 4-5. She will be going with her teammate, Cassie Whitcomb. Congratulations Amanda!

Amanda's tentative schedule has been posted. Amanda will be in Huntsville, Texas later this week for the Junior Pan Am Team Camp. Four juniors plus two alternates will be selected to represent the USA team at the Junior Pan Am Championships in Brazil. Good luck Amanda!

Congratulations Amanda: 2009-2010 Junior US National Team Member! Amanda's third VISA Championships concluded today in Dallas, Texas. She did really well today, where she finished fifth in the all-around, sixth on uneven bars and ninth on balance beam. Amanda, along with top 10 juniors, made the Junior US National Team. Amanda just finished competing the first day of the Junior VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. Right now, she is tied for fifth in the all-around out of 31 gymnasts. Amanda’s best performances came on uneven bars and floor exercise. She did a clean bars routine finishing 4th with a score of 13.9. She started her floor routine with a nice Arabian double front and dismounted with a double tuck. Right now, Amanda is in first place on that event with a score of 14.3. Amanda also did nice Yurchenko 1.5 with a 14.1. Congratulations on a great preliminary round! Amanda will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 1:00 PM CST. Amanda's third VISA Championships will begin this week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 PM CST. She will be sixth person to go on uneven bars during the first rotation. The second day will be on Saturday, August 15 at 1:00 PM CST. On that day, she will be third person to go on balance beam during the first rotation. Amanda will need to place in the top ten to make the Junior US National Team. Good luck Amanda!

USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Amanda's website updated as soon as we get news and results.

Amanda competed at the US Classic last night in Des Moines, Iowa. Her meet was highlighted with a great floor exercise routine with a 14.450. Her total all-around score was 53.500. Amanda will be competing at the US Classic next weekend on July 25 in Des Moines, Iowa. A select of juniors (including Amanda) will be competing in the senior session at 7:00 p.m. at the Vets Auditorium. Amanda has already qualified for the VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. First International Assignment!

Nationals News
Amanda will be competing at her second US Nationals June 5-7, in Boston, MA. Amanda's first day of competition will be at 1:00 PM on June 5th. Her second day of competition will be at 10:30 AM on June 7th. Amanda will have to score a 54.000 all around score from both days to make her first US Nationals team. Good Luck Amanda!! 14th At US Nationals
Amanda has finished competing at her first US Nationals. Amanda started off night one on the uneven bars scoring a 13.100. She finished up the night on vault with a 13.800. After night one Amanda was 14th in the all-around with a 55.200. Amanda started off night two with a few wobbles on beam earning a score of 13.950. She finished off the night solid on bars with a 13.600. After both days Amanda's over all total was 110.300, just missing the national team, by 2 spots.
