Aniya started taking recreational gymnastics classes in 2007 when she was six years old. She fell in love with the sport and has been at Reflex Gymnastics Academy in Pearland, TX her whole gymnastics career.

As a level 6 gymnast in 2011, Aniya won the vault title with a 9.750 at the State Championships. She moved up to level 7 for the 2012 season where she placed ninth in the all-around with a 37.075 and second on vault scoring a 9.750. In 2013, Aniya finished sixth in the all-around with a 37.350 and fifth on uneven bars at the Level 7 State Championships.

Aniya moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season. She placed 12th overall with a 37.425 and third on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she finished sixth in the all-around with a 37.800 and third on vault with a 9.650. In 2015 as a level 9 gymnast, Aniya finished sixth on vault with a 9.600 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.250 and second on vault with a 9.825. Aniya qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Spokane, WA where she earned a silver medal on vault with a 9.675. Aniya's 9.825 vault was in top 100 in America.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2016, Aniya placed seventh in the all-around, fourth on floor exercise with a 9.400 and fifth on vault with a 9.475 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she scored a 9.400 on vault and 9.525 on floor exercise. In 2017, Aniya finished eighth on vault and floor exercise scoring a 9.650 and 9.350 respectively at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing third on vault with a 9.625. Aniya placed fifth on vault at the 2018 State Championships and qualified to the Region 3 Championships.

Aniya trains 24 hours per week at Reflex Gymnastics Academy in Pearland, TX under coaches Tami Jaso and Jeff Thompson. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
