Aniyah started gymnastics in 2012 when she was eight years old, so she could have a place to build confidence. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Everest Gymnastics in Huntersville, NC and has been there ever since. As a level 4 gymnast in 2014, Aniyah placed first in the all-around with a 37.900 and first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 5 in 2015 where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.575 and first on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. Aniyah was named to America's Top 100 on vault, floor exercise and all-around (3x).

Aniyah skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2016 season. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title with a 38.100 and placed first on vault and uneven bars. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing ninth in the all-around and first on vault. Aniyah tested out of level 8 and moved up to level 9 for the 2017 season. At the State Championships, she placed third in the all-around with a 37.550, second on uneven bars and fourth on vault. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2018, Aniyah earned a bronze medal on vault at the State Championships. She did well at the Region 8 Championships, finishing second in the all-around with a 37.550, second on balance beam and third on uneven bars. Aniyah qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH. In 2019, Aniyah placed fourth on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. She placed sixth on balance beam at the Region 8 Championships. In 2020, Aniyah qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Aniyah placed in the top ten in the all-around and seventh on floor exercise at the Level 10 State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships. In 2022, Aniyah placed sixth on balance beam at the State Championships and seventh on balance beam at the Region 8 Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships in Mesa, AZ as a balance beam specialist.

Aniyah trains 33 hours per week at Everest Gymnastics in Huntersville, NC under coaches Nikolai Cherchen, Biyu Sun and Yiwen Chen. Aniyah is working hard to become an elite gymnast as well as to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
