Ariana began gymnastics in 2002 at age five at Acrosports Gymnastics in Webster, Texas with Barbara Hughes. She trained with Costela Mihauic at MGA for several years. She competed as a level six at the 2005 South Texas State Championships. She moved up to level seven in 2006. She won vault, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around at the Svetlana Invitational. She then finished third on uneven bars at the Level 7 State Championships. Ariana moved up to level eight in 2007. She won a bronze medal on floor at the WOGA Classic. She placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam at the IGHOF Invitational. At the Statewide Qualifier, she placed third on vault.

She moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished second on vault at the Level 9 Regional Championships. In 2009, Ariana began competing level ten. She finished second on floor exercise at the Texas Prime Meet. As a hopes elite, she won the Palm Beach Invitational. At the Level 10 Texas State Championships, she won vault, uneven bars and the all-around. She also placed second on balance beam and floor exercise. At the Level 10 Regional Championships, she won the all-around and floor exercise. Ariana missed JO Nationals because of an injury. She returned in July to win the US Challenge in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ariana started 2011 season at the Sand Dollar Elite Qualifier, where she placed second in the all-around in compulories. She qualified to the VISA Championships at the Metroplex Challenge after placing 12th in the all-around and second on vault. At the WOGA Classic, Ariana won the all-around, vault and floor exercise titles. She won another all-around title at the Level 10 Texas State Championships. In July, Ariana traveled to Chicago, IL for the US Covergirl Classic. There, she placed 19th in the all-around and 8th on balance beam. A few weeks later, she competed at the VISA Championships, where she finished impressive tenth in the all-around. She placed 9th on vault, 12th on bars and beam and 11th on floor. Ariana was named to the Junior US National Team! In November, Ariana was selected to represent the USA team at the Top Gym in Belgium. There, she won a silver medal in the all-around as well as a gold medal on vault and a bronze medal on balance beam.

In 2011, Ariana placed third on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around at the WOGA Classic in the international session for juniors. At the VISA Championships, Ariana placed in the top ten on vault and uneven bars. Ariana began training at Texas Dreams Gymnastics on September 1, 2011.

"Ariana is very driven,” Coach Debbie Kaitschuck said. “She seems very motivated. There’s no coaching that part of it. You have to be born with that desire. She’s naturally very, very powerful, and she’s a very hard worker. She’s fearless.”

Currently, Ariana is training for the upcoming 2012 season at Texas Dreams Gymnastics under coaches Kim Zmeskal-Burdette and Chris Burdette. Ariana dreams of traveling the world as an elite gymnast and representing the United States National Gymnastics Team at the 2016 Olympic Games.

Ariana Chenier Guerra was born on June 5, 1997 in Webster, Texas to Mark and Christina Guerra. She currently lives in League City, Texas with her family and her cat, Edgar. Ariana has three siblings, Marcella (17), Emanuel (23) and Emilia (25). She is a proud aunt of Christopher and Isela. Currently, Ariana is in ninth grade at Coppell High School. Outside of gym and school, Ariana likes to play music, Wii and puzzles. One interesting fact about Ariana is that she was a former World Champion Level 5 cheerleader!
