Ashton began competing when she was three years old at Sunbelt Gymnastics Academy. Soon after, she moved to Texas Dreams Gymnastics and quickly progressed in the sport. Ashton's most recent major achievement was qualifying to the 2010 VISA Championships. Currently, Ashton is training for the upcoming 2012 season under coaches Kim Zmeskal-Burdette and Chris Burdette.
