Audrey Kaufman was born on October 2, 2000 in Waconia, MN. She is the youngest of three children to Rob and Lynne Kaufman and she has two sisters, Ellie and Libby. Currently, Audrey is a junior at Minnetonka Senior High School and she will graduate in 2019. She has been on the "A" Honor Roll since sixth grade and is currently enrolled in Honors and AP classes. Audrey is active in her church and is involved in community service projects, such as Feed My Starving Children and Cornerstone.
Audrey’s passion started at a friend’s birthday party at a gymnastics club. She came home after the party and could not stop talking about all the fun she had tumbling and swinging. When she started asking Santa for very own set of bars to go in her bedroom, her parents knew she was hooked. Audrey has a passion for gymnastics that has never wavered. Audrey started competing level 5 in 2011 and has qualified to the State Championships every year. She also qualified to Region 4 Championships in 2014 and 2015 and Level 9 Western Nationals in 2015. In 2016, Audrey finished eighth on uneven bars at the Region 4 Championships. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, Audrey qualfied to the Region 4 Championships.
Currently, Audrey is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 20 hours per week at TAGS Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN under coaches Betsi Shepard and Carolyn Yernberg. Audrey is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast and to compete for a college gymnastics team.
