Bayley Barnett was born on August 15, 2003 in Memphis, TN to Edee Fuller and Bartley Barnett. She currently lives in The Woodlands, TX with her Mom and their animal-family members. Bayley is an A-Honors student at The Woodlands High School and she will graduate in 2021. During her spare time, Bayley devotes herself to her church, volunteerism, many outdoor pursuits, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

As a strong, active, and social three-year old, Bayley began recreational gymnastics at Wings Gymnastics followed by level 4 at Wimbleton Gymnastics in Memphis, TN. She also trained for eight years in Classical Russian ballet. When Bayley was nine, her family moved to Houston, TX and she began level 5 with Stars Gymnastics Training Center. She became the Level 5 South State and District Champion. She moved up to level 6 in 2014, finishing fourth in the all-around and second on vault and uneven bars at the Texas State Championships. In the summer of 2016, Bayley's family moved to The Woodlands, TX and she trained at AIM Athletics.

Bayley tested out of levels 7 and 8 before quickly moving up to level 9 for the 2016 season. At the Level 9 State Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 37.900 and first on vault and floor exercise. She finished third in the all-around with a 37.900, second on floor exercise and fourth on vault at the Region 3 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she was the all-around champion. She also earned the gold medal on floor exercise and bronze medals on vault and uneven bars. Bayley won first place on floor exercise in seven consecutive meets spanning both her level 9 and into her level 10 seasons!

In 2017, Bayley moved to World Champions Centre in Spring, TX to train under the husband-wife team of Laurent Landi and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi. She had a great level 10 season in 2018 with season-high scores of 9.400 on vault, 9.400 on uneven bars, 9.500 on balance beam, 9.600 on floor exercise and 37.450 all-around. She qualified to both the Level 10 State Championship and Region 3 Championships. Bayley had a great season in 2019! She earned a silver medal on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished third in the all-around with a 37.600 and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, finishing 19th overall with a 37.550 and 12th on balance beam and floor exercise. In 2020, Bayley qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Bayley trains 24 hours per week at World Champions Centre in Spring, TX under coaches Laurent Landi and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years. Bayley would like to continue her passion for gymnastics into college. Her long-term goals are to be a high performing student-athlete and to obtain a college scholarship.
