Rebecca "Becca" Green was born on June 24, 2002 in Buffalo, MN. She is the oldest of three children to Russ and Nicole Green and she has two younger brother, Nathan and Caden. Currently, Becca is an honor student at Annandale High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and is on Academic Honor Roll. Outside of the gymnastics world, Becca attends St. Ignatius church for religion classes and helped with the local Heart of the Lake Triathlon at Waterstops. She is a volunteer kindergarten teacher at her church St. Ignatius and also plays traveling softball in the summertime.
Becca was born into gymnastics family. Her parents coached the Annandale High School gymnastics team and Becca would go to their practices and play on bars. Becca started taking recreational classes at Annandale Aerials in Annandale, MN where she trained under coach Katie Logeais Hissam.
Before her level 6 season in 2011, Becca started training at Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen, MN and has been there ever since. At the 2012 Level 6 State Championships, Becca placed second in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars and floor exercise. One month later, Becca quickly moved up to level 7 and grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Chow's Winter Classic. Becca finished fourth in the all-around with a 37.350 and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships.
In December 2013, Becca competed at the Peppermint Twist Meet as a level 8 gymnast, finishing second in the all-around and first on uneven bars. She moved up to level 9 rest of the 2013-2014 season. She earned a gold medal on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Becca finished seventh in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars. This qualified Becca to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Boise, ID where she placed in the top ten on uneven bars.
Becca moved up to level 10 for the 2015 season. Becca placed fifth on uneven bars at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 4 Championships where she placed 12th overall. Becca qualified to the Junior Olympic NIT in Des Moines, IA. In 2016, Becca finished sixth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Becca placed second in the all-around, second on uneven bars, third on floor exercise and fourth on vault. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX where she placed 26th overall with a 37.225 out of 57 gymnasts.
In 2017, Becca finished fifth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships, finishing ninth in the all-around and seventh on balance beam. She was the second alternate for the Junior Olympic Nationals. In 2018, Becca placed fifth in the all-around and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Junior OlympiC Nationals in Cincinnati, OH after finishing fourth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the Region 4 Championships. At the Nationals, she placed in the top ten on uneven bars with a 9.550.
Becca trains 20 hours per week at Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen, MN under coaches Bryon Hough and Charise Schrupp. Becca is working hard to reach her goals to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals as well as to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
