Bethany started gymnastics when she was seven years old. She wanted to do it because her friend was doing cartwheels at school and she thought it was cool. She has been training at Planet Gymnastics in Mobile, AL since level 5 in 2014. She was the 2014 Level 5 Alabama State vault and balance beam bronze medalist and 2015 Region 8 Xcel Regional all-around and balance beam champion. Bethany moved up to level 8 for the 2017 season. She placed second in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing seventh in the all-around and second on vault. As a level 9 gymnast in 2019, Bethany placed fourth on floor exercise and fifth on vault at the State Championships.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast, Bethany qualified to the Level 10 State Championships where she placed fourth on vault and seventh on floor exercise. Bethany had elbow arthroscopic surgery in November 2021 but worked hard to maintain her physical conditioning and mental strength to return mid-season in 2022.

When Bethany isn't training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys playing piano and viola. She was recently selected as a member of the Alabama All State Orchestra. She also enjoys reading and shopping. Bethany is an honor student at St. Paul’s Episcopal School and will graduate in 2023. She was appointed and currently serves on Mobile City/County Youth Council in alliance with the local government and drug education council. She has earned English, leadership and writing awards in addition to being nominated as a 2019 Girls Who Will Change the World. She is the former president of National Junior Honor Society and participated in Duke TIP.
