Breckin Quoss was born on May 30, 2002 in Lansing, MI to Scott and Michelle Quoss. She has a sister, Lexi and a dog named Tosha. Currently, Breckin is an honor student at Forest Hills Eastern High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. When she has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys downhill skiing, wake boarding and reading.

Breckin started gymnastics with a friend when she was four years old and fell in love with the sport. She started competing level 4 in 2010 when she was seven years old. As a level 7 gymnast in 2014, she placed second in the all-around with a 37.950, first on vault and second on uneven bars. She moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season, finishing sixth in the all-around and second on floor exercise. Breckin qualified to the Region 5 Championships where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.850 and first on vault and balance beam. Breckin continued competing level 8 in 2016 where she placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.425 and fourth on balance beam. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished third in the all-around with a 37.650, first on vault and third on uneven bars.

As a first-year level 9 gymnast in 2017, Breckin placed first in the all-around with a 36.900, first on uneven bars and second on vault. She did well at the Region 5 Championships where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.150 and second on vault and uneven bars. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI, finishing ninth in the all-around, fourth on floor exercise and sixth on vault and balance beam. Breckin had a great meet at the 2018 Level 9 State Championships where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.600 and first on vault and uneven bars. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed first in the all-around and first on vault. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Rochester, NY where she placed third in the all-around and second on vault.

Breckin trains 25 hours per week at Gedderts’ Twistars in Lansing, MI under coaches Kathryn Geddert, Brett Wargo, Angelina Hernadez and Bruce Blake. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
