Bridgey's first VISA Championships concluded today in Boston, MA. She had a rough first rotation on the balance beam where she scored 12.05. She did an outstanding job on floor exercise and vault scoring 14.5 and 14.1 respectively. She finished 21st in the all-around, 6th on vault and 8th floor exercise. Great job Bridgey at your first VISA Championships! Full results from today have been posted. Pictures and videos will be coming soon.

Bridgey is in Boston, MA for the VISA Championships. Right now, she is nineteenth in the all-around out of 28 gymnasts. Bridgey's best performances came on vault and balance beam. She placed seventh on vault scoring 14.1 with a clean Yurchenko full. On balance beam, she did a nice routine where she scored 14.25 for eleventh place. She then tied for eighth place on floor exercise scoring 14.05. She had a rough time during first rotation on uneven bars where she scored 11.7. Bridgey will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 10:30 am EST. Full results have been posted.

Bridgey's first VISA Championships will begin next week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, June 5 at 1:00 PM EST. The second day will be on Saturday, June 7 at 10:30 AM EST. On the first day of competition, Bridgey will be 4th gymnast up on uneven bars during first rotation.
To qualify to be on the Junior USA National Team, Bridgey will need an average all-around of 54 (combining day 1 and day 2 scores) or higher and place in the top 12.
USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Bridgey's website updated as soon as we get news and results. You can see the schedule (juniors only) for next week below.

16th at US Classic
Bridgey competed today at US Classic in Houston, Texas. She started on balance beam with a fall on her front punch mount with a 12.9. Bridgey then went clean on floor exercise. She opened with a huge piked full-in and scored 14.05 on that event for 6th place. On vault, she did a nice Yurchenko full scoring 14.050 for 9th place. On the last event, uneven bars, she did a huge hindorff but fell on her second release, Tkatchev. Bridgey finished 16th in the all-around. Full results have been posted.

Good Luck at US Classic
Bridgey and her sister, McKenzie, will be competing this Friday, May 23rd at 2008 US Classic in Houston, Texas. She will use this competition as a tune up for the upcoming VISA Championships in two weeks. Good luck, Bridgey!

Bridgey's Website Released
Welcome to Bridgey's brand new official website! Claire is a 14-year-old aspiring elite gymnast who trains at the Aerial Gymnastics Club in Downers Grove, IL. Bridgey's last competition was a few weeks ago at the 2008 Texas Dreams Qualifier where she finished fifth in the all around and qualified to her first VISA Championships. Bridgey is now training for upcoming US Classic next weekend in Texas.
