Brookelyn Victoria Sears was born on June 18, 2001 in Troy, OH to Doug Sears and Angela Infante. Brookelyn is the oldest child in the family where she has a younger half-sister, Annalyse and a younger half-brother, Ronon. Brookelyn's stepdad, Christopher is one of her biggest supporters!

Brookelyn's parents, Doug Sears and Angela Infante, are gymnastics coaches, so Brookelyn naturally followed their footsteps into gymnastics when she was two years old. She joined pre-team at the age of five and started competing level 4 at the age of six. Brookelyn has been training at KIDS Are TOPS Sports Center her whole gymnastics career.

As a level 5 gymnast in 2011, Brookelyn grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.875 at the State Championships. She skipped level 6 and immediately started competing level 7 for the 2012 season. At the State Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 37.675, first on vault and balance beam and third on floor exercise.

In 2013, Brookelyn moved up to level 8. She won the all-around title with a 38.000 at the State Championships. She also earned a gold medal on balance beam and silver medals on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing eighth in the all-around with a 37.450 and second on balance beam.

Brookelyn moved up to level 9 for the 2014 season. She placed first in the all-around with a 37.625 and first on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.350, second on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Bradenton, FL where she finished 16th overall and seventh on uneven bars.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2015, she earned a silver medal on uneven bars and a bronze medal on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished seventh in the all-around with a 37.050 and fifth on uneven bars. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Des Moines, IA. In 2016, Brookelyn finished third on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. She placed in the top ten in the all-around with a 37.250 at the Region 5 Championships. Brookelyn was named alternate for the Junior Olympic Nationals.

In 2017, Brookelyn finished second in the all-around with a 37.950 and first on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.700 and sixth on uneven bars. Brookelyn qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she placed ninth on uneven bars, 11th on vault and 12th on floor exercise.

Currently, Brookelyn is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 24 hours per week at KIDS Are TOPS Sports Center in Dayton, OH under coach Donny Bent. She is working hard to qualify to Junior Olympic Nationals every year and become a JO National champion. Her long-term goal is to compete for a Division I college gymnastics team.
