Cailee Marie Hills was born on August 5, 1996 in Evansville, Indiana to Chip and Debi Hills. She has two sisters, Lindsey and Brittany. Currently, Cailee is in tenth grade at Charlotte Latin School. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

Cailee began taking gymnastics classes at the age of five after watching her sister doing gymnastics. At the beginning of Cailee's gymnastics career, she trained at Weyandt's Gymnastics under coach Rimma Bubenchikova.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2003, Cailee finished first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the State Championships. In 2004, she placed first on uneven bars and third in the all-around at the Level 5 State Championships. At the 2005 Level 6 State Championships, she earned gold medals on uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around. In 2006, Cailee finished first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the Level 7 State Championships.

Cailee moved up to level 9 for the 2008 season. At the Buckeye Classic, she placed third on vault and first on floor exercise. Cailee placed third in the all-around as well as first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise at the National Gymnastics Challenge. She did not compete rest of the 2008 season due to an injury.

She continued competing as a level 9 gymnast during the 2008-2009 season. At the Get Your Feet Wet, she finished third in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise. She finished third on vault at the Hilton Head Island Invitational. At the WOGA Classic, Cailee finished second on balance beam and in the all-around as well as first on vault and uneven bars. She earned gold medals on vault, balance beam and in the all-around at the Charleston Cup. At the National Gymnastics Challenge, she placed third in the all-around and first on vault and balance beam. She won the all-around title at both Level 9 State Championships and Level 9 Regionals. She qualified for the Level 9 Eastern Nationals where she finished fifth in the all-around, second on vault and third on balance beam.

In 2010, Cailee began competing as a level 10 gymnast. She placed third in the all-around and second on balance beam at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She won the all-around title at both Sweetheart Meet and Charleston Cup. Cailee won the balance beam title during the event finals at the Charleston Cup. At the Level 10 State Championships, she placed first on floor exercise and in the all-around as well as second on balance beam and third on vault. She finished first in the all-aroudn, first on vault and second on balance beam at the Level 10 Regionals. This qualified Cailee to the Junior Olympic Nationals where she finished 28th overall.

Cailee began her 2010-2011 season at the Twin City Classic where she finished first on vault and in the all-around. At the Tampa Bay Turners, she earned bronze medals on vault and floor exercise. She then traveled to Texas for the Metroplex Challenge and finished third on vault and seventh on floor exercise. Cailee placed second in the all-around at the Sweetheart Meet and third overall at the Charleston Cup. At the Level 10 State Championships, she placed seventh in the all-around and third on uneven bars. She qualified to her second JO Nationals after placing second on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around at the Level 10 Regionals. At the JO Nationals, she finished 12th in the all-around and seventh on balance beam.

Cailee had a great 2012 season! She started her season at the Get Your Feet Wet, finishing third in the all-around, second on vault and first on floor exercise. At the Gala, she earned gold medals on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around. She traveled to Florida for the Sand Dollar Invitational, finishing first on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. At the Metroplex Challenge in Dallas, TX, Cailee placed first on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around. She then earned gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Charleston Cup. At the National Gymnastics Challenge, Cailee placed second in the all-around as well as first on uneven bars and floor exercise. At the Level 10 State Championships,s he finished second on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around as well as first on floor exercise. She then placed second in the all-around as well as first on vault and second on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. This qualified Cailee to the JO Nationals, finishing sixth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars and balance beam.

Cailee trains about 24 hours per week at Southeastern Gymnastics in North Carolina under coaches Ludmila Shobe and Galina Meliakina. Currently, she is preparing for the upcoming 2013 season as a fourth-year level 10 gymnast. Her long-term goals are to be a national champion and to be offered a Division 1 college scholarship.
