Cameron loved to tumble as a toddler. Cameron's after-school program held a week long gymnastics camp where she won the “best gymnast” award and received her first real leo. The instructor called Cameron's mom and told her that she was a natural and invited her to begin level 4 training. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Midwest Twisters in O'Fallon, IL where she trained under coaches Jenny Hayden and Mickey Orr.

As a level 5 gymnast in 2009, Cameron finished first in the all-around with a 38.200 and first on vault, balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 6 for the 2010 season where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.400. She also finished first on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.

In 2011, Cameron won the all-around title with a 38.950 and earned gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise at the Level 7 State Championships. As a level 8 gymnast in 2012, Cameron finished first in the all-around with a 38.075 and first on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.625 and first on vault, balance beam and floor exercise. Following the 2012 season, Cameron's family relocated to Florida due to Cameron's dad's job. Therefore, Cameron started training at Harbor City Gymnastics in Melbourne, FL.

Cameron moved up to level 9 for the 2013 season. She placed fourth in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing sixth on balance beam. Cameron continued competing level 9 in 2014 where she placed fourth in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished first in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise. Cameron qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals, finishing second in the all-around with a 37.500, first on uneven bars, second on balance beam and fifth on floor exercise.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2015, Cameron finished in the top ten in the all-around and sixth on floor exercise at the State Championships, She placed sixth on floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. In 2016, Cameron finished sixth in the all-around and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships.

Currently, Cameron is preparing for the 2017 season as a third-year level 10 gymnast. She trains 15-20 hours per week at Harbor City Gymnastics in Melbourne, FL under coaches Mark and Anne Weber. She is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast and to compete for a college gymnastics team.
