Growing up surrounded by gymnastics, it was inevitable that Carla would fall in love with the sport. With a mother who was a competitive gymnast, and an older sister in the sport, naturally, Carla started taking classes when she turned four years old. She began at Elite Gymnastics Academy in Ashland, MA and has been there ever since. Early on, she established herself as a hard worker and a team leader and this has continued to today. This work ethic has been evident to both her own coaches, and several collegiate coaches she has met throughout the years. She has earned the "Hardest Worker” award at multiple camps she has attended. Her coaches continue to depend on her as far as gym assignments for her level, and supervision of her younger teammates. In recognition of her talent, determination, and work ethic, she has been invited to multiple Region 6 Developmental Training Camps. Carla loves to compete and actually prefers to be in the lead off spot for her team!

In 2017, as a level 8 gymnast, Carla placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.075 and second on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing third in the all-around with a 37.000 and third on vault and balance beam. Carla competed level 9 for the next two seasons where she qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals both years. She was the 2018 Level 9 Regional Balance Beam Champion, placing second in both All Around and Floor Exercise. In 2019, she was the Level 9 State All-Around, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise Champion, Regional Floor Exercise Champion and went on to become the 2019 Level 9 Eastern National Balance Beam Champion.

Carla competed level 10 for the 2020 season where she qualified to the State Championships. Unfortunately, her season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her 2020 season high scores were a 9.350 on vault, 8.800 on uneven bars, 9.300 on balance beam, 9.400 on floor exercise and 36.100 all-around. At the Gasparilla Classic, her last meet of the season, she competed an upgraded vault, earned season high scores on vault and floor exercise and earned first place on balance beam and floor exercise, placing second in the all-around.

In 2021, Carla took home a silver medal on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she finished second in the all-around, second on vault and third on balance beam. This qualified Carla to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL!

When Carla has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys Crossfit, baking, painting and spending time with her family at the beach. In addition, she has been a dedicated Special Olympics gymnastics coach, teaching children with special needs in preparation for the Massachusetts Special Olympics Summer Games. Currently, Carla is an honor student at Millis High School and will graduate in 2022. She is her Class President and earned the 2019 English Teacher's Award. Carla's work ethic and commitment for excellence is also recognized by her school teachers. She has been called "The strongest kid in the school, both physically and mentally." She is the daughter of Mark and Lisa Ferzoco, and she has three siblings, David, Mia and Mark, and a dog named Molly. One fun fact about Carla is that she is a crazy good whistler!
