Caroline took dance classes and played on a soccer team in early elementary school, but she did not develop a passion for either of these activities. Eventually, her mother suggested that she try gymnastics. Caroline enjoyed her recreational classes so much that she decided to try out for the pre-team at Oakland Gymnastics. She began practicing with the pre-team the summer between 3rd and 4th grade (2009). Caroline started competing level 4 in the fall of 2010 where she placed second in the all-around and first on balance beam at State Meet.
Caroline moved up to level 5 for the 2012 season where she placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam at the State Championships. In 2013, she placed second in the all-around with a 37.775 and first on uneven bars and balance beam at the Level 5 State Championships. During Caroline's third and final level 5 season in 2014, she finished second in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on uneven bars. Caroline skipped level 6 and moved up to level 7 for the 2015 season. At the State Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 37.925 and first on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
As a level 8 gymnast in 2016, Caroline placed first in the all-around with a 38.150 and first on balance beam at the State Championships. She was named to Team Michigan for the Region 5 Championships. At Regionals, Caroline placed first in the all-around with a 38.025 and first on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. Caroline moved up to level 9 in 2017. At the State Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a 37.075 and first on vault and uneven bars. Caroline qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 37.200, fourth on balance beam, seventh on uenven bars and eighth on vault.
Currently, Caroline is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 21-24 hours per week at Oakland Gymnastics in Commerce Twp., MI under coaches Ruth Miller, Chris Miller, Renee Henry and Mel Foster. Caroline is working hard to become a level 10 gymnast for the 2017-2018 season. She would like to compete on a collegiate gymnastics team.
