Chelsea started gymnastics in 2005 when she was five years old. She has been training at Ace Gymnastics in Ocean Township, NJ her whole gymnastics career. Chelsea began competing level 4 in 2007 and has qualified to the State Championships every year.
As a level 9 gymnast in 2012, Chelsea earned a silver medal on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships where she finished in the top ten in the all-around and seventh on balance beam. Chelsea moved up to level 10 for the 2013 season. She qualified to the State Championships and Region 7 Championships in 2013 and 2014. Chelsea missed 2015 due to an injury.
Chelsea broke the Shore Conference record for high school gymnastics on balance beam with a 9.750 for the 2015-2016 season. In 2016, Chelsea finished in the top ten in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing eighth on uneven bars with a 9.475.
Chelsea had a great season in 2017. She placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.375, fourth on balance beam and fifth on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed 16th overall and eighth on balance beam out of 34 gymnasts. Her season-high scores were a 9.150 on vault, 9.500 on uneven bars, 9.500 on balance beam and 9.400 on floor exercise.
Currently, Chelsea is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 27 hours per week at Ace Gymnastics in Ocean Township, NJ under coaches Candy Krotchco and Beate Jones. Chelsea is working hard to reach her goal to compete for a college gymnastics team.
