Christa's fourth VISA Championships concluded today in Boston, MA. She did really well today and improved her all-around score from 54.800 (prelims) to 58.000 (finals). She finished 13th in the all-around and missed qualifying to the US National Team by .2 points. Congratulations to Christa's teammate, Nastia Liukin, for placing 2nd in the all-around. Christa is in Boston, MA for the VISA Championships. Right now, she is sixteenth in the all-around. Christa’s best performances came on vault and floor exercise. She placed 9th on floor exercise scoring 14.8 and tied for 15th place on vault scoring 14.1. Christa had a rough time during third and fourth rotation where she scored 13.55 on uneven bars and 12.35 on balance beam. Christa will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 3:30 am EST. Full results have been posted.

Christa's 4th VISA Championships will begin next week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 PM EST. The second day will be on Saturday, June 7 at 3:30 PM EST. On the first day of competition, Christa will be 3rd gymnast up on floor exercise during first rotation.
To qualify to be on the Senior USA National Team, Christa will need an average all-around of 56 (combining day 1 and day 2 scores) or higher and place in the top 12.
USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Christa's website updated as soon as we get news and results. You can see the schedule (seniors only) for next week below.

Christa just finished competing today at US Classic in Houston, Texas. She started on uneven bars with a very clean routine scoring 14.7 and tied 1st place with Corrie Lathrop! She then scored 14.15 on balance beam for 3rd place. On floor exercise, Christa did an awesome routine where she scored 14.550 placing 4th! Christa finished the competition with a Yurchenko 1.5 on vault scoring 13.8. She placed 5th in the all-around with a 57.1. Good job Christa! Full results have been posted.

Christa and WOGA teammates Briley Casanova, Sophia Lee, and Catherine Nguyen will be competing this Friday, May 23rd at 2008 US Classic in Houston, Texas. Christa will use this competition as a tune up for the upcoming VISA Championships in two weeks. Good luck Christa!

Christa competed last night at the Texas Dreams Elite Qualifier. She qualified to the VISA Championships in Boston, MA with a 56.025. Congratulations Christa!

We have posted 5 new videos in the Multimedia section. There are 4 better quality videos from Day 1 of the 2007 US Nationals and 1 new video of Christa's bar routine from the 2007 Woga Classic.

Christa Tanella's Official Website has a brand new layout! We hope that you like the new look. Almost every page has been updated with new content. Many new aim buddy icons have been added. New avatars, support banners, and wallpapers will be coming very soon. We also posted new 2008 WOGA Classic pictures and Christa's tentative schedule.

Christa placed 1st in the all-around last night at the WOGA Classic! She upgraded her vault with a Yurchenko 1.5 where she scored 14.55. Christa then scored 14.7 on balance beam and placed 2nd on floor exercise scoring 14.85. Good job Christa! We are hoping to have the new layout up next weekend, maybe on February 9th.

Christa competed last weekend at the Metroplex Challenge. She finished 1st in the all-around and all four events. Right now, we are working on brand new layout and it should be up very soon!
