Christa just finished her third VISA Championships last night in San Jose, California. She started off on floor exercise where she did a really pretty routine with a front layout + front 2/1, high double pike, 1.5 twist + punch front 1/1 (OOB), and ended with 2.5 twist. She scored 14.350 on that event. On the next event, vault, she did a nice Yurchenko 1/1 with a hop foward scoring 13.750. Christa did an outstanding job on uneven bars where she hit all of her routine and scored 14.150. On the last event, balance beam, Christa did a clean routine with a step on her dismount for a 14.100. She improved her AA score from the past day and placed 12th in the all-around. However she missed the US National Team by .15. Congratulations to Christa's teammates, Rebecca (Jr. US National Champion) and Nastia Liukin (Sr. US Nationals 3rd AA). Four videos and eleven pictures have been added from 2007 US Nationals Prelims.

Today Christa, along with her gym teammates Nastia Liukin, Rebecca Bross, and Catherine Nguyen, are in San Jose, California for the VISA Championships. Christa started off on balance beam with a wobble on her switch side leap scoring a 14.100. Her next event was floor exercise where she did a layout front + double full, double pike, 3/2 front full (fall), and 5/3 twist. She placed 17th with a score of 13.400 on that event. Christa did a clean Yurchenko full with a clean score of 13.800. On Christa's last event, uneven bars, she nailed all of her routine and placed 9th scoring 14.300. After the first day of the VISA Championships, Christa is 12th in the all-around. Full results have been posted. The second day of VISA Championships will be on Saturday, at 6:00 PM PST. The VISA Championships will be aired on NBC on August 18th (8:00 EST) and 19th (7:00 EST).

Over seventy new pictures have been added to 2007 US Classic. There are also three new photos added to 2006 US Classic. Five new videos have been posted from 2007 US Classic and 2006 US Nationals Prelims. Christa will be competing at her third VISA Championships this week in San Jose, California. She will be competing in the senior division on Thursday at 7:00 PM PST and Saturday at 6:00 PM PST. Christa will try to make her first Senior US National Team. She will need to place top 12 and with an average of a 56 all-around to make the team. Good Luck Christa!

Christa just finished competing at the US Classic in Battle Creek, Michigan today. She did an outstanding job by placing second in the all-around! She also won a silver medal on floor exercise (14.500). Christa has already qualified to the US National Championships from last month's American Classic. Congratulations Christa! Christa competed at the 2007 American Classic at the National Training Center. She needed a 56 to qualify to the 2007 VISA Championships. Christa received a 13.60 on vault, 14.05 on bars (2nd), 14.5 on beam (4th), and 13.95 on floor. She placed 3rd in the all-around with a total of 56.1. Christa is now qualified to the VISA Championships later this year in August. Congratulations Christa!

Christa competed this past weekend at the WOGA Classic. She started on uneven bars and fell once but finished strong. She scored 12.100 for a 15th place on that event. She then gave a solid routine on balance beam. Christa tied for 5th place with a score of 14.300. On the next event, she injured her knee on one of her passes and had to withdraw from the meet. There is no news on her injury yet. Hopefully we will get some information soon.

Christa competed last weekend at Metroplex Challenge. She won the all-around title in the senior division. She placed first on balance beam and floor exercise as well. Full results from the meet have been added.
