Ciera Cheyenne Miller was born on August 14, 1996 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to David and Dulci. She has two older brothers, Chad and Jason. Ciera currently lives in Lewisville, Texas with her family and her pet, Bo. During Ciera's spare time, she likes to browse Facebook and spend time with her friends.
She took a parent/child class when she was 18 months old. She started competing when she was six and a half years old with Appalachian Gymnastics. In 2004, Ciera competed level five. She won uneven bars and placed second in the all-around at the Beach Blast. She moved up to level six in the fall. She placed third in the all-around at the Biltmore Classic.
Ciera began competing level seven in 2005. She won balance beam at the Olympia Winter Challenge. She ended her season at the Level 7 State Championships. In November, she swept the gold medals as a level eight at the Biltmore Classic. Ciera continued competing level eight in the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In 2007, she finished fourth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the Level 8 State Championships. She ended her season at the Level 8 Regionals. She then moved up to level nine. In November, she won a silver medal on vault at the Music City Invitational. In 2008, Ciera won vault at the Level 9 State Championships. She followed this victory by winning vault again at the Regional Championships. After Ciera's 2008 season, she moved to Texas to train at Texas Dreams.
With her new gym in 2009, Ciera made tremendous improvements. She won uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around titles at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the Texas Prime Meet, she won uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around titles. She then finished first on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She won vault at the WOGA Classic. At the National Gymnastics Challenge, she won uneven bars and placed second in the all-around. Ciera won uneven bars, balance beam and the all-around at the Level 9 State Championships. She also finished second on vault and floor. At the Level 9 Regionals, she won uneven bars and the all-around titles. Ciera ended her level nine career at the Level 9 Western Championships with victories on vault, floor exercise and the all-around. In June, she achieved her international elite compulsory score.
Cieara only competed in one meet in 2010, where she won a gold medal on balance beam and finished fourth on vault at the Texas Prime Meet. In February, she moved back to Tennessee, where she is currently training at Appalachian Gymnastics with coach Debbie Nielson. Currently, Ciera is preparing for the 2012 season.
