Claire Ann Boyce was born on April 25, 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the daughter of David and Kimberly. She has two brothers, Brian and Luke. She began gymnastics at the age of two and a half at Great American Gymnastics Express (GAGE). She later moved to Diamond Gymnastics, eventually following her coaches to Dynamo Gymnastics in Oklahoma City in 2004.

At five years old, she joined the Level 5 team at Diamond Gymnastics in Overland Park, KS. She was unable to compete that year because of her age. The following year she competed as a level six. In 2004 as a level seven she won the Kansas State Championships. She also finished third all-around at the WOGA Classic. She moved from level seven to level nine in 2005 but spent part of the year nursing a stress fracture in her heel. Claire won bars and beam at the Level 9 Oklahoma State meet the only events she competed that season. She continued in 2006 as a level nine. She completed a successful season winning the state all-around and beam titles. She finished second on floor and bars. At Regionals, Claire finished third all-around. She won bars and finished second on beam. She finished fourth all-around at the Western Championships.

Claire started her 2007 season as a level 10 at Friendship Cup. Trying with many new skills, she placed seventh in the all-around and won the balance beam title. In the February Elite Compulsory meet, Claire successfully passed by placing 8th in the all-around and placed second on floor exercise. At the Level 10 Oklahoma State Meet, Claire placed sixth in the all-around and qualified to the Level 10 Regionals in Coppell, Texas. One month later, Claire went clean at the meet and placed impressive second in the all-around. It qualified Claire to her first Junior Olympic Nationals. Two weeks later, Claire competed for her international elite status at the National training center. She successfully passed as a Junior Pre-Elite taking 3rd on floor. Right after the elite testing, Claire competed at the JO Nationals in Mason, Ohio. Claire placed 5th in the all-around out of 57 gymnasts in Junior A group. She also earned a bronze medal on bars. After Claire's level 10 season was over, Claire traveled to the National Training Center again to competed at the American Challenge as a Junior Pre-Elite and placed 4th in the all-around with a 1st on bars and 2nd on floor.

In 2008, Claire started her season at the Folgers Invitational where she placed 1st in the all-around as well as four medals on all four individual events. She then placed 2nd in the all-around at the Dynamo Classic. Claire and her Dynamo teammates traveled to Kansas City, MO to compete in the Dragon Invitational Elite Qualifier. On Friday night, Claire missed qualifying to international elite, in optionals part, by .2. She, however, brought home two gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. On the next day, Claire easily passed the compulsory level with a 35.775. At the end of March 2008, Claire competed at the Level 10 Oklahoma State Meet where she only did two events, but won the uneven bars title and took home a silver medal on balance beam. After the State Meet, Claire and her family decided to move to Kansas City, Missouri to be closer to their family and friends. Claire began training at GAGE under coaches Al Fong and Armine Barutyan-Fong.

While at GAGE, Claire finished seventh in the all-around, fourth on uneven bars and first on floor exercise at the American Classic in San Diego, California. There, she qualified to the 2009 VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. At the VISA Championships in Dallas, she finished 17th in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise. On March 1, 2010, Claire moved to Coppell, Texas to train at Texas Dreams Gymnastics.

In May of 2010, Claire placed second in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Arizona National Elite Qualifier. There, she qualified to the VISA Championships in Hartford, CT. At the Texas Elite Qualifier, she won the uneven bars title. Claire then traveled to Chicago, IL for the US COvergirl Classic, where she finished tenth in the all-around and seventh on uneven bars. At the VISA Championships, she placed 18th on uneven bars, 13th on floor exercise and 27th overall.

Currently, Claire is training at Texas Dreams Gymnastics in Coppell, Texas under coaches Kim Zmeskal-Burdette and Chris Burdette. Claire is preparing for upcoming 2011 season as a senior international elite gymnast.
