Doree pulled up on the side of her crib and flipped head first out into her laundry basket. Her parents knew when she was a toddler that they needed to find a place besides the couch for her to flip safely. She started her gymnastic career at Premier Athletics in Knoxville, TN. She was the 2014 Level 6 State Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise Champion, 2015 Level 7 State All-Around and Balance Beam Champion, 2016 Level 8 State Floor Exercise Silver Medalist and 2016 Level 8 Regional Balance Beam Bronze Medalist. In 2017, Doree won the all-around title with a 37.775 at the Level 8 State Championships, qualifying to the Region 8 Championships. In March 2017, she moved to GymTek Academy in Knoxville, TN.

As a second-year level 9 gymnast in 2019, Doree placed third in the all-around and second on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals after finishing seventh in the all-around, second on balance beam and third on floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. In 2021 as a level 10 gymnast, Doree placed fifth on balance beam with a 9.400 and seventh overall at the State Championships, qualifying to Region 8 Championships. In November 2021, Doree tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus doing a gainer pike dismount off balance beam. She had a surgery on December 15, 2021 and she is now working hard to get healthy and get ready for the 2022-2023 season.

While Doree was not training 22 hours per week in the gym, she enjoys outdoor activities, playing ukulele, baking, choreographing and coaching. Doree started a program called "Dorees Storees" (it is on Instagram and Facebook) in July 2016. She collects gently used books and donates them to hospitals, organizations, schools, churches, ministries and needy families.
