Emily has always had a passion for gymnastics. At a young age she loved flipping on furniture at home and doing cartwheels in the aisles of stores. Emily placed third in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the 2012 Level 7 State Championships. She moved up to level 8 in 2013 where she placed sixth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the State Championships, qualifying to the Region 7 Championships. In 2014, Emily earned gold medals on uneven bars and in the all-around at the Level 8 State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and sixth on floor exercise. As a first-year level 9 gymnast in 2015, Emily finished eighth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships and qualified to Regionals. In 2016, Emily finished fourth in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around, third on uneven bars and fifth on balance beam and qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA.

Currently, Emily is preparing for the 2016-2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 22.5 hours per week at Northeast Gymnastics Academy in Hanover Twp., PA under coaches Lori Dexter and Robin Jacobs. Emily is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast as well as to compete for a college gymnastics team.
