Gabrielle Lange was born on July 25, 2001 in New Jersey to David and Debbie Lange. She has an identical twin sister Rachel, who is also a gymnast, an older brother Andrew and two dogs named Oliver and Chloe. Currently, Gabrielle is an honor student at Allentown High School and she will graduate from high school in 2019. When she has time outside of gymnastics, she loves to go paddle boarding, to the beach and shopping with her friends.
Gabrielle’s gymnastics career began early on when her mother enrolled both her and her twin sister into a Mommy and Me class. Both girls started their competitive gymnastics career at Arena Gymnastics in Hamilton, NJ. It was a great start, because the Arena Level 4 Team won NJ State Championships that year. In the Spring of 2011, they moved to Action Gymnastics Academy in Howell/Millstone, NJ. As a level 7 gymnast in 2013, Gabrielle finished first in the all-around with a 37.975, second on uneven bars and balance beam and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.425 and sixth on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships.
In 2015, as a first-year level 9 gymnast, Gabrielle qualified to the Region 7 Championships. Unfortunately, Gabrielle was injured right before the 2016 season began, and was unable to compete. In 2017, Gabrielle repeated level 9 where she placed sixth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished ninth on vault with a 9.325.
Gabrielle trains 20-22 hours per week at Arena Gymnastics (Gymland) in Hamilton, NJ under coaches Ann & Valdi Kolasa and Mike Krotchko. Gabrielle is working hard to have a successful season in 2018 and to compete for a college gymnastics team.
