My name is Grace Hunter and I was born on July 3, 2001 to Charles and Dawne Hunter. I have an older sister, Olivia, a younger brother, Reece, and a Miniature Schnauzer named Bella. I attend Topsail High School and will graduate in 2019. I am dual enrolled at Cape Fear Community College and take all Honors and AP classes at Topsail High School. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, Topsail High School Gymnastics Club, and Topsail High School Track and Field.

I started gymnastics when I was 1 1/2 years old. My mom signed me up for a Mom and Tot class and I have loved the sport ever since! I have now been doing gymnastics for 17 years. I am currently a level 10 gymnast and train 18 hours each week. My gym is located in Little River, SC which is a 1.5 hour commute each way five days a week. I am extremely dedicated to my sport and because of the distance my gym is away from my school, I am extremely organized and use my time wisely.

I began training at Gymnastics and More in 2010. In 2014 as a level 7 gymnast, I set the team record with the third highest vault score of 9.700 in Gymnastics and More Ocean Flipper history. Also that year, I placed third on vault with a 9.375 at the SC Level 7 State Championships. In 2015, I placed fourth on vault with a 9.300 at the SC Level 8 State Championships and was also a 2015 Level 8 Regional Qualifier and placed ninth on vault with a 9.200. In 2016, I placed second on beam with a 9.350 at the SC Level 8 State Championships and was also a 2016 Level 8 Regional Qualifier placing fourth on vault with a 9.400. In 2017, I placed second on vault with a 9.300 at the SC Level 9 State Championships. In 2017, I was awarded the Ocean Flipper of the Month award for my hard work and leadership qualities. In 2018, I competed at level 10 on podium in Forth Worth, TX. At the 2018 Charleston Cup, I placed second on vault with a 9.425. For the State Championships that year, I competed as a level 9 and placed first on beam with a 9.300 and second on vault with a 9.225. I was also a 2018 Level 9 Regional Qualifier. This year I qualified for Region 8 Level 10 Regionals in Georgia.

My ultimate goal is to compete at the collegiate level.
