Grace wanted to learn how to do a cartwheel, so her mom enrolled her into gymnastics for fun at the age of six. She loved it from the first day! When Grace turned seven years old, she was asked to be on the pre-team. Grace has been training at Discover Gymnastics in Houston, TX since she first started gymnastics in January of 2008. Grace began competing level 3 in the spring of 2010 and competed level 4 in 2010 and 2011. As a level 5 gymnast in 2013, Grace finished second in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on balance beam at the State Championships.
Grace skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2015 season. At the State Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 38.175, first on floor exercise and third on balance beam. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.075, second on floor exercise and third on vault. As a level 8 gymnast in 2016, Grace placed third in the all-around with a 37.700, second on vault, third on uneven bars and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a 38.275 and second on vault, balance beam and floor exercise.
In 2017, Grace moved up to level 9. At the State Championships, she finished second on floor exercise with a 9.500 and fourth on balance beam. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed third in the all-around, third on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Boise, ID where she placed 15th overall.
Grace trains 25 hours per week at Discover Gymnastics in Houston, TX under coaches Costela Mihaiuc, Christina Mihaiuc, Juan Corzo and William Castellanos. Grace is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast as well as to compete for a college gymnastics team.
