Hannah loved tumbling around home, so her parents enrolled her into gymnastics classes for fun at 18 months old. She has been training at Chow's Gymnastics & Dance in Iowa her whole gymnastics career. She was the 2013 Level 4 IA State Floor Exercise Champion and 2014 Level 5 IA State Balance Beam Champion. As a level 7 gymnast in 2016, Hannah placed fourth on vault with a 9.700 at the State Championships. At the 2017 Level 7 IA State Championships, Hannah earned gold medals on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around with a 38.300. At the Region 4 Championships, she swept the gold medals with a 38.575 in the all-around. Hannah was named to America's Top 100 on vault and uneven bars (3x).

In 2018 as a level 8 gymnast, Hannah placed first on vault, second on uneven bars and balance beam, third on floor exercise and first in the all-around with a 37.850 at the State Championships. She was a member of the 2018 Super 8 Team representing Iowa at the Region 4 Championships where she finished fourth in the all-around with a 37.525 and third on vault and uneven bars. Hannah was unable to compete in 2019 due to an injury. In 2020, she competed in one level 10 meet before rest of the season got canceled due to COVID-19.

When Hannah isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys drawing, music, playing with her dog and hanging out with her friends. She is the daughter to TJ and Jen Paustian. She has an older brother, Jake and a rescued dog named Meekah. Hannah is an honor student at Johnston High School and she will graduate in 2023.
