Holly LaVonn Basile was born on March 2, 2000 in Troy, MI to Dave and Janice Basile. She has two sisters, Sarah and Abbey and a brother, Alex. Currently, Holly is an honor student at Birmingham E.W. Seaholm High School and she will graduate in 2018.

Holly's mom enrolled Holly into recreational gymnastics when she was two years old. Holly was asked to join the pre-team at Gymnastics Training Center GTC) in Rochester Hills, MI and has been there ever since. In 2009, Holly earned a bronze medal on floor exercise at the Level 4 State Championships. She moved up to level 5 for the 2010 where she placed sixth in the all-around and third on vault at the State Championships. Holly repeated level 5 in 2011, finishing first in the all-around, first on vault and third on balance beam at the State Championships. In 2012, Holly placed second in the all-around, second on vault and balance beam and third on floor exercise at the Level 6 State Championships. Holly earned the Leadership award for the 2011-2012 season.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2013, Holly finished eighth in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on vault at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she placed seventh in the all-around and second on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing in the top ten on vault and balance beam. Holly earned the Teammate of the Year for the 2013-2014 season. In 2015, Holly placed fifth in the all-around, first on floor exercise and third on vault at the Level 8 State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed third in the all-around with a 37.850, first on vault and balance beam and third on floor exercise. Holly also earned two awards for the 2014-2015 season; Gymnast of the Year and Teammate of the Year.

In 2016 as a level 9 gymnast, Holly placed seventh in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. She had a great performance at the Region 5 Championships where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.150, third on uneven bars and fourth on vault. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA where she placed fourth in the all-around, second on vault and sixth on balance beam. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, Holly qualiifed to the Region 5 Championships.

Currently, Holly is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 23.5 hours per week at Gymnastics Training Center (GTC) in Rochester Hills, MI under coaches Amanda Allen and Jamie Hrycaj. Holly is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast, qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals as well as to compete for a college gymnastics team.
