Isabella Scarpetti was born on August 1, 2002 in New Hampshire to Ken and Jackie Scarpetti. She is a student at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and she will graduate from high school in 2021. When Isabella has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys playing piano, puzzles, drawing and water skiing. Isabella has been taking piano lessons since she was six years old. She scored superior (highest grade) in solos for eight years in row and superiors in duets for six years in row. She also volunteers at the Soup Kitchen, Elderly Housing Residence (She planned, produced & played for a piano Christmas Sing Along), Boys & Girls Club and NHA Booster Club.
Isabella's parents enrolled her into many activities so Isabella could pick which she liked the best. She took dance classes in ballet, jazz and lyrical for nine years and horse riding lessons for six years. Isabella started gymnastics when she was a toddler and her love for gymnastics has continually grown over the years. Isabella trained at Coast Elite Gymnastics Academy when she was living in Florida. She placed eighth in the all-around and sixth on vault at the 2017 Level 8 State Championships.
Following Isabella's 2017 season, her family moved back to her hometown, so she started training at New Hampshire Academy of Artistic Gymnastics in North Hampton, NH. Isabella started competing as a level 9 gymnast in 2018 where she finished first in the all-around, first on uneven bars and third on vault and floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships. Isabella was voted team captain for the 2017-2018 season. In 2019, Isabella earned gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she finished seventh in the all-around and third on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL where she placed in the top ten in the all-around and sixth on vault. In the summer of 2019, Isabella moved to Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center in Portsmouth, NH.
In 2020, Isabella qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Isabella trains over 22 hours per week at Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center in Portsmouth, NH under coach Cori Cunningham. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
