Jah’Liyah Bedminster was born on January 11, 2003 in Decatur, GA to Livinton and Shernell Bedminster. Currently, she is an honor student at South Gwinnett High School and will graduate from high school in 2020. During Jah'Liyah's spare time, she enjoys swimming and riding her bike.

Jah'Liyah's parents enrolled her into gymnastics classes because she started doing headstand in her playpen when she was about 18 months old. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Georgia Gymnastics Academy in Lawrenceville, GA and never looked back. In spring of 2010, she was the all-around champion at the Level 4 State Championships at age seven. Jah'Liyah skipped level 5 and quickly moved up to level 6 in fall of 2010. She placed eighth in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships.

In 2012, Jah'Liyah started competing level 7. She finished third in the all-around with a 37.825, first on balance beam and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed 13th in the all-around and eighth on balance beam. She was the first alternate for the Region 8 team. In January 2013, Jah'Liyah tested out level 8 at the Gala and immediately moved up to level 9 rest of the 2013 season. She placed ninth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Jah'Liyah finished 13th in the all-around and fourth on balance beam. Jah'Liyah continued competing level 9 in 2014 where she grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 36.575. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed seventh in the all-around with a 36.900 and sixth on floor exercise. She was the first alternate for the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2015, Jah'Liyah finished second in the all-around with a 37.025, first on uneven bars, second on vault, third on floor exercise and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished in the top ten on uneven bars. In 2016, Jah'Liyah had a great meet at the Alamo Classic where she finished first in the all-around with a 37.850 and secured a spot to the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup. In March, she traveled to Newark, NJ for the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup and finished 17th overall in the junior session. A few weeks later, Jah'Liyah competed at the State Championships where she earned a bronze medal on vault. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around with a 36.425 and third on uneven bars. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX.

In 2017, Jah'Liyah won the floor exercise title with a 9.475 at the State Championships but was unable to compete at the Regionals due to an injury. In 2018, Jah'Liyah placed fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars with a 9.550 at the State Championships. She did well at the Region 8 Championships where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.375 and fifth on uneven bars and balance beam. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH. In 2019, Jah'Liyah placed first in the all-around at the Gala and third in the all-around at the Daytona Beach Open. She was unable to compete rest of the season due to an injury.

Jah'Liyah trains 20 hours per week at Georgia Gymnastics Academy in Lawrenceville, GA under coaches Judy Prestigiacomo, Mandy Cain and Annette Kaiser. Jah'Liyah's goals are to qualify to Junior Olympic National and to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
