Jessica Lynn Cordle was born on July 29, 2000 in Kansas City, MO to Brian and Amy Cordle. Currently, Jessica is a senior at Kearney High School and will graduate in 2018. During her spare time, she enjoys painting, fishing and hunting. Jessica volunteers for MoCHIPS program, a comprehensive child identification program designed to give Missouri families a measure of protection against the ever increasing problem of missing and abducted children.
Jessica started in a recreational tumbling class when she was four years old and eventually joined pre-team at Liberty Gymnastics Academy (Formerly Edge Liberty) in Liberty, MO.
As a level 7 gymnast in 2011, Jessica finished 12th in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars at the State Championships. In 2012, she moved up to level 8 where she qualified to the Region 4 Championships after a solid performance at the State Championships. At the Regionals, she placed third in the all-around, second on balance beam, fourth on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise.
Jessica moved up to level 9 for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In 2013, she placed in the top eight on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. In 2014, Jessica finished second on vault and balance beam and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the 2014 Level 9 Western Nationals in Boise, ID.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2015, Jessica placed first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships where she finished fifth on vault. In 2016, Jessica placed second in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around, third on balance beam and fourth on floor exercise. Jessica qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX. Jessica was unable to compete most of the 2017 season due to an injury.
Currently, Jessica is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 21 hours per week at Liberty Gymnastics Academy in Liberty, MO under coaches Lauren Howell, Todd Schram, Terin Humphrey and Kyle Zac. Jessica would like to continue her gymnastics journey at the collegiate level.
