Jocelyn Moore was born on June 22, 2003 in Rochester, NY to Andre and Jacqueline Moore. She has one dog named Cookie. Jocelyn is an honor student at Hillsborough Middle School and she will graduate from Hillsborough High School in 2021.

Jocelyn has always been an active child since she was a toddler. She would always do cartwheels around the house. Between the ages of four and seven, Jocelyn broke a good share of lamps. After realizing that she was always so energetic and loved to jump, cartwheel and flip, her parents no longer purchased expensive furniture.

About one year later when Jocelyn turned eight, she and a friend decided to take recreational classes at Middlesex Gymnastics Academy in East Brunswick, NJ. After a few months in the recreational classes, one of the team coaches invited Jocelyn to try out for the competitive team. That spring Jocelyn joined the Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association (JOGA) team. She excelled and progressed within the JOGA organization for approximately three years. In her last year of JOGA (level 2), at the State Championships, Jocelyn finished first in the all-around, first on vault, second on balance beam and floor exercise and third on uneven bars.

In the fall of 2015, Jocelyn joined Paramount Gymnastics in Hillsborough, NJ to further her gymnastics career in the USAG organization. All in one season in 2015, she competed levels 4, 5, 6 and 8 successfully. In January 2016, Jocelyn was ready to officially start her USAG career. At the 2016 Level 8 State Championships, Jocelyn placed third in the all-around, first on vault, third on floor exercise and fifth on uneven bars which landed her a spot to represent the state of New Jersey at the Region 7 Championships. There, Jocelyn placed fourth on vault with a 9.450.

As a first-year level 9 gymnast during the 2016-2017 season, Jocelyn qualified for vault finals at Robin Cone Memorial Classic and the Starstruck Invitational and won the vault title in both meets. A few months later, Jocelyn placed third on vault at State Championships and qualified for the Region 7 Championships. She finished fourth in the all-around with a 36.825, second on uneven bars with a 9.525 and third on vault with a 9.650. Jocelyn qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI, finishing fifth on vault.

Jocelyn moved up to level 10 for the 2018 season. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed seventh on vault and ninth on floor exercise. Jocelyn had a great 2019 season! She placed second in the all-around with a 38.500 and first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished third in the all-around with a 38.300 and first on vault. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, finishing tenth in the all-around with a 37.950 and third on vault. In 2020, Jocelyn qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Jocelyn trains 18-22 hours per week at Gymland/Arena Gymnastics in Hamilton NJ under coaches Ann and Valdi Kolasa. Jocelyn's long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
