Jordyn Nicole Brent was born on August 1, 1999 in Los Angeles, CA to Marvin Brent and Tanji Divinity. Jordyn has one sister, Maya and one brother, Marcus and a dog named Max. Currently, Jordyn is a senior at Culver City High School and will graduate in 2017.

Jordyn started gymnastics when she was seven years old at Fit Kids Gymnastic Center where she trained under coaches Olivia Beltran and Chris Olsen. Jordyn began training at All Olympia Gymnastics Center (AOGC) after her level 7 season in 2012.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2013, Jordyn placed second in the all-around with a 37.700, first on uneven bars and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships and finished second in the all-around with a 37.850, first on uneven bars and second on vault. In 2014, Jordyn moved up to level 9. She placed fourth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she placed ninth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars. This qualified Jordyn to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she placed in the top 10 in the all-around and eighth on uneven bars.

Jordyn moved up to level 10 for the 2015 season. She placed seventh in the all-around, fifth on uneven bars and sixth on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, Jordyn finished third on floor exercise and eighth on uneven bars. In 2016, Jordyn earned a bronze medal on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she placed third in the all-around with a 37.350, second on balance beam and fourth on vault. Jordyn qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX where she placed tenth on vault out of 56 gymnasts.

Currently, Jordyn is preparing for the upcoming 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 26 hours per week at All Olympia Gymnastics Center (AOGC) in Los Angeles, CA under coaches Galina Marinova and Marcello Figueiredo. Jordyn would like to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals as well as to continue her gymnastics journey at the collegiate level.
