In a few years, Julia was asked to join the Invitational Fit and Five class, followed by Pre-Team A, and eventually level 4 team. She won all-around in the Maryland State Championships for levels 4, 5 and new level 5 (old level 6). Julia was named to America's Top 100 in 2012 and 2013 on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2015, Julia placed third in the all-around and first on uneven bars with a 9.525 at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2016 season where she placed fourth on uneven bars with a 9.400 at the State Championships. Following her level 8 season, she moved to Docksiders Gymnastics in Millersville, MD. Julia had a great meet at the 2017 Level 9 State Championships where she grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around with a 37.475. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing third on uneven bars with a 9.575.
