Kailyn was always flipping around the house and off the furniture. Her mom decided to enroll her into gymnastics when she was two years old so she could have a safe place to flip. She has been training at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, TX her whole gymnastics career.

As a level 9 gymnast in 2014, Kailyn finished third in the all-around with a 37.325 and first on floor exercise with a 9.700 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 38.150 and first on vault and floor exercise. Kailyn qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she placed 14th overall, second on floor exercise and third on vault. Kailyn continued competing level 9 in 2015 where she placed fourth in the all-around with a 38.100 and third on vault with a 9.750 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 37.950, first on floor exercise, second on vault and third on uneven bars and balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals again, finishing second in the all-around with a 37.650, first on balance beam, second on vault and seventh on uneven bars.

In 2016 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, she finished sixth on floor exercise with a 9.475 and seventh on balance beam scoring a 9.250 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing seventh on vault with a 9.400. In 2017, Kailyn placed fourth in the all-around, third on balance beam and fourth on floor exercise with a 9.500 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships. Kailyn missed 2018 season due to an injury.

Kailyn trains 33 hours per week at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, TX under coaches Janelle McDonald and Mila Grebenkova. Kailyn is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals as well as to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
