Kaitlyn Gray was born on October 2, 2002 in Kentucky to Trevor and Lori Gray. She has a brother, Jackson. Currently, Kaitlyn is an honor student at Woodford County High School and she will graduate from high school in 2021. Some of her school and community achievements include:

Kaitlyn started gymnastics at 18 months old in Mommy and Me classes at a local gym. Kaitlyn fell in love with the sport and joined team at the age of seven at Agility Gymnastics Academy in Versailles, KY. As a level 6 gymnast in 2013, Kaitlyn finished fifth in the all-around and third on vault and balance beam. She qualified to the Level 7 State Championships in 2014.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2015, Kaitlyn finished fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing fifth on balance beam. She continued competing level 8 in 2016 where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.100, first on floor exercise and second on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished fifth in the all-around with a 37.075, third on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise. Kaitlyn moved up to level 9 for the 2017 season. She placed second in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals. In 2018, Kaitlyn finished third in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Regionals. In 2020, Kaitlyn qualified to the Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Kaitlyn trains 20-23 hours per week at Agility Gymnastics Academy in Versailles, KY under coaches Robin Huff and Michelle Grewe. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
