Karsyn was born on August 26, 2003 in Texas to David and Ashlea Foster. She has two siblings, Kamron and Kelton and two dogs named Stella and Betta. Currently, Karsyn is an honor student at Texas Connections Academy and will graduate from high school in 2021. During Karsyn's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafts and outdoor activities.

Karsyn's mom put Karsyn in dance, but Karsyn did handstands the entire time and her instructor told Karsyn's mom that she had her in the wrong sport. Karsyn started gymnastics at the age of four and competed level 4 by the age of 5.

Karsyn competed as a level 7 gymnast in 2013 where she scored a 37.125 and placed second on floor exercise and third on vault at the State Championships. In 2014, she scored a 37.575 at the Level 7 State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing ninth in the all-around with a 37.425, first on uneven bars and third on balance beam. In 2015 as a level 8 gymnast, Karsyn qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she scored a 37.200 in the all-around. She continued competing level 8 in 2016. At the State Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 38.100 and first on vault. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 38.175 and first on vault and balance beam. Karsyn was named to America's Top 100 on uneven bars.

Karsyn competed as a level 9 gymnast for the next two seasons. In 2017, she placed in the top ten in the all-around with a 37.500 and first on vault at the State Championships. She did well at the Region 3 Championships, finishing third in the all-around with a 37.500 and first on vault and balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Boise, ID where she brought home a silver medal on vault with a 9.600. Karsyn had even better season in 2018 where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.875 and first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished third in the all-around with a 37.750 and first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals for the second time in Salt Lake City, UT. At the Western Nationals, she became national champion on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around with a 38.700! Karsyn was named to America's Top 100 in both seasons on vault (12x), uneven bars (3x), balance beam (2x), floor exercise (4x) and in the all-around (4x).

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2019, Karsyn finished fourth in the all-around, first on vault and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to Regionals. In the summer of 2020, Karsyn moved to Pearland Elite Gymnastics in Pearland, TX.

Karsyn trains 31 hours per week at Pearland Elite Gymnastics in Pearland, TX under coaches Nick Cedillo and Tasha Beale. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
