Kate has been training at Docksiders Gymnastics in Millersville, MD since 2010. As a level 6 gymnast in 2012, Kate earned a bronze medal on floor exercise at the State Championships. She tested out of level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2013 season. She placed fifth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She had a great start of level 8 season in 2015 but was unable to compete most of the season due to an injury.
As a first-year level 9 gymnast in 2016, Kate placed sixth on vault at the Region 7 Championships. In 2017, Kate earned a bronze medal on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around and first on vault. Kate qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI where she placed impressive fifth in the all-around with a 37.225, third on vault and fifth on floor exercise. 2018 was Kate's third and final year of level 9. At the State Championships, she placed third in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise. She was the first alternate for the Eastern Nationals after finishing eighth in the all-around, first on vault and third on balance beam at the Region 7 Championships.
Kate trains 20 hours per week at Docksiders Gymnastics in Millersville, MD under coaches Bob Ouellette, Katie Williams and Jay Barrows. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
