Many new photos have been added from 2006 US Nationals. A new wallpaper has been added. It was made by Gina. Three new videos have been added from last year's US National Championships - VT & BB from D2 and VT from D1.

Kayla just finished her second VISA Championships last night at St. Paul, Minnetosa. She made the US National Team for the second time by taking the last spot with Jac Johnson from CGA!
Day One: Kayla had an off meet on the first day. Kayla started off on balance beam with a fall on her press hand pirouette but finished strong. She scored 14.250 for 10th place. The next event was floor exercise where Kayla did very well except when she step out of the bounds on her piked full-in. She scored 13.950 for 13th place. On vault, Kayla did a Yurchenko 1.5 and scored 14.700 for 11th place. Kayla had some trouble on her last event, uneven bars. She fell on her Hindoff and Tkackev. She finished 14th all-around.
Day Two: Kayla did a lot better on the second day of VISA Championships. Kayla started off on floor exercise where she did a very triple twist, piked full-in (OOB), 2 1/2 + front layout and ended with a double pike. She scored 14.700 for 12th place. The next event was vault where she did a nice Yurchenko 1.5. On uneven bars, Kayla hit her Hindoff this time but fell on her Tkackev. She scored 14.250 for 13th place. On the last event, balance beam, Kayla did a nice routine for a score of 14.3 and placed 10th. Kayla tied for 11th all-around with Jacquelyn Johnson from CGA.
Good Job Kayla for a great meet! Full results have been added from the meet.

Today is Kayla's 18th birthday! Be sure to sign her guestbook to say happy birthday. Kayla will be competing at her second National Championships later this week in St. Paul, Minnestoa. On Thursday's preliminary competition, she will be second up on balance beam. The preliminary competition will begin at 7:00 PM. Kayla will be fifth up on vault on Saturday's finals which will start at 6:00 PM. Good luck kayla!

Kayla just finished competing today at the US Classic in Kansas City, Missouri. She did very well on almost all events. She fell on uneven bars but still received a good score. She placed 10th all-around. Kayla's highlight of the competition was her floor exercise where she earned a silver medal. Kayla already qualified to VISA Championships in St Paul, MN in three weeks. Good Job Kayla!. Hopefully new videos and pictures will be coming soon!

Kayla will be competing at the US Classic in Kansas City, Missouri this week. The senior international competition starts at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 29. Kayla is already qualified to compete at the US National Championships. Good Luck Kayla!

Kayla and teammate Natasha Kelley traveled to Moscow, Russia for Moscow World Cup to represent team USA in senior competition. Kayla qualified for two events finals on the first day of competition. She was second, behind Sikulova, on the uneven bars with a 15.150. Kayla also competed on floor exercise where she scored 14.500 for a fourth place finish behind Dos Santos, Da Silva of Brazil and teammate, Natasha Kelley.
During event finals Kayla started out on the uneven bars, unforuntely, she fell on her hindorff and received a score of 14.000 for seventh place. On floor exercise, Kayla went out of bounds twice and placed also placed seventh. Good job Kayla, on your first international assignment - 2-time event qualifier! Before you leave, three new scrapbook clips as well as a new photo gallery, 2006 friendship classic have been added.

Kayla just got back from the camp last night. She was selected as one of three senior gymnasts to represent the USA at the weekend Kayla and her teammates' Kassi Price and Natasha Kelley, will travel to Moscow, Russia. The World Cup Event will be held on between May 23 to 27. Congratulations and good luck to Kayla and the rest of Team USA!

Kayla competed this past weekend at the 8th Friendship Classic, held Saturday evening in Pottsville, Pa. She placed 2nd all-around right under Japan's Mayu Kuroda. Christine Nguyen of WOGA placed 3rd. Kayla fell on both uneven bars (missed Hindorff) and balance beam, but won floor exercise (piked full-in as a second pass). The results are up from the meet. Hopefully new pictures will be coming soon.
