Kayla Hoffman's Official Website has been completely redone! There are a few changes on this website. Kayla's biography, gym information, and routines pages have been updated. We wanted to apologize about the Ask Kayla section. The form was not working and we did not recieve any of submissions. So, if you have tried to ask Kayla something, then please try again. Alabama 2008-2009 schedule and teammates will be posted as soon as we get new information. All of pictures and videos from 2007-2008 season have been added. We also made a few new avatars. We will have more avatars, wallpapers, and banners coming very soon. Finally, we added a new page, In the Media. That page contains online articles and magazine scans.

Kayla competed today at the NCAA Championships during the individual vault finals. She started her 1st vault with a very clean Yurchenko full. She then did a Yurchenko layout as her second vault. She finished 5th with average score of 9.763. Good job Kayla!

Today the gymnastics team competed in the super six finals along with Georgia, Utah, Stanford, Florida, and LSU. Georgia won the competition and Alabama finished 6th. Kayla scored 9.75 on vault, 9.8 on bars, and 9.925 on floor. Kayla will be competing in the individual event finals tomorrow night. Good luck Kayla!

The Alabama gymnastics team just finished today's team and event qualifications. Bama started rough on balance beam but finished strong at the end of the competition where they finished 2nd with a 196.650. University of Florida placed 1st and Louisiana State University finished 3rd. Kayla qualified to vault finals after tying for 1st place with Michelle Stout from Arkansas. Kayla also finished 9th on uneven bars and floor exercise. Good job Kayla and Alabama! The team finals competition will be tomorrow, April 25 at 6:00 pm ET and the individual event finals competition will be on Saturday, April 26 at 6:00 pm ET.

Kayla and her Alabama teammates are in Athens, GA for the NCAA Championships this weekend. The first day of competition will begin on Thursday, April 24 at 1:00 pm ET in the afternoon team preliminary session. The Alabama gymnastics team will be competing with LSU, Florida, Oregon State, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Live scoring and streaming video will be available on GeorgiaDogs.Com. The meet will be televised by CBS on May 10 from 12-2.

The Alabama gymnastics team placed 1st last weekend at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships where they qualified to the 2008 NCAA Championships in Athens, GA. Kayla scored 9.925 on vault and 9.875 on floor exercise. 2008 NCAA Championships will be next weekend, April 24-26. Bama will compete in the first of two prelimiary sessions and will start on balance beam. We will keep you posted about upcoming NCAA Championships.

Last weekend, Bama posted its new season-high against Penn State. They defeated PSU, 197.300-194.675. Kayla won the vault and floor exercise titles. Last Friday, Bama hosted their final home meet with Auburn where they won the competition, 197.100-195.900. Good job Kayla! We are working on a brand new layout for Kayla's website. Hopefully it will come as soon as the season's over.

The Alabama gymnastics team have been busy this past weekend. They traveled to California to compete in two different competitions. Last Friday, in Palo Alto, California, they lost to Stanford and Nebraska in a 3-way meet with a 195.775. Kayla scored 9.85 on floor exercise, 9.925 on vault, and 9.825 on uneven bars. The Crimson Tide then traveled to Los Angeles, California for a 4-way meet with UCLA, Arkansas, and Cal-State Fullerton. They finished second with a 195.925. Kayla won the vault title with a career-best score, 9.975. Kayla also placed 5th on uneven bars and 7th on floor exercise. Good job Kayla!

This past weekend, No. 5 Alabama defeated No. 3 Florida, 197.225 - 197.125. Kayla won vault and floor exercise scoring 9.95 on both! Alabama will travel to Stanford on Friday and UCLA on Sunday. Good job Bama!

Alabama scored its new season high 195.950 to defeat Arkansas. Kayla placed 1st on vault scoring a career-best 9.95. She then scored 9.875 on uneven bars and won the floor exercise title. Good job Kayla! Alabama will be off next weekend. The next competition will be on February 22 in Baton Rouge, LA. We are working on brand new layout and hopefully it will be up by end of the month.

No. 4 Alabama hosted No. 1 Georgia last night in Coleman Coliseum where Alabama falls to Georgia, 196.000 to 160.625. Kayla scored 9.875 on vault and 9.8 on uneven bars. For more information about the meet, you can read the press release, here.

January 26, 2008
The Alabama gymnastics team traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to compete in a dual meet against Kentucky University. Kayla competed on two events and helped the team to win over Kentucky, 196.300 to 193.525. She won vault scoring 9.925 and placed third on uneven bars scoring 9.850. Bama will host Georgia next Friday, February 1 at 7:30 PM CST.

Last night, the Alabama gymnastics team travled to Auburn, Alabama to compete against Auburn University. Kayla helped Bama to win the dual meet over Auburn, 196.425 - 195.900. Kayla scored 9.875 and tied for first place on vault with Auburn's Lindsey Puckett. She then tied for second place on uneven bars and fifth place on balance beam. She and Morgan Dennis shared the floor exercise title scoring 9.900. Kayla finished first in the all-around with a total of 39.475! Congratulations Kayla on her first AA win!

Kayla did an awesome job today at her first collegiate competition! Alabama won the dual meet against Illinois, 196.300 to 192.725. Kayla started on vault and nailed her Yurchenko 1/1 scoring a 9.875 for a first place. On the next event, Kayla gave a solid routine on uneven bars scoring a 9.750. Kayla did a beautiful routine on balance beam and she nailed her flip-flop to two-footed flip-flop to double twist dismount! She scored 9.650 on that event. Kayla finished strong on her last event, floor exercise, scoring a huge 9.9! She started with a piked full in, 5/2 back layout to punch layout, and ended with a double pike. She finished second in the all-around with a total score of 39.175. Good job Kayla! Bama's next competition is next Friday, January 18 at 7:00 PM CST.

Kayla and the Alabama Gymnastics team had an awesome semester in the classroom! The team grade point is 3.515. Kayla is one of four gymnasts (Kassi Price, Ashley O'Neal, and Alyssa Chapman) who have perfect 4.0 GPAs. Congratulations! Kayla's 2008 schedule is now up. Alabama's first meet is only a week away. Be sure to check the schedule so you can mark your calendar to watch Bama in action!

As you can see, there is a brand new layout at The Official Website of Kayla Hoffman! We hope you like the new look. We added a few new pictures to 2005 Parkette Invitational, 2005 US Nationals Day Two and Day One, and 2007 US Nationals Day Two. We added two new magazine scans as well.

Kayla will not be competing at the Visa Championships in San Jose, CA, this year. She has decided to go start college, instead.
