Keira Jade Qian Wells was born on June 15, 2005 in Qianjiang, China. She currently lives in Kansas with her parents, Aaron and Amy, a sister, Keely and a brother, Chase. Currently, Keira is an honor student at Augusta High School and she will graduate from high school in 2023. During Keira's spare time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with her friends and family and playing with her dog, Flynn.

Keira started gymnastics when she was three years old. She could climb across the monkey bars at the park before she even turned three. Her parents decided that she needed a safe environment where she could flip safely. Keira started her gymnastics career at Folgers Gymnastics (Now named JAG Gymnastics) in Andover, KS. As a level 5 gymnast in 2014, Keira placed first in the all-around with a 37.675 and first on vault, balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships.

Keira skipped two levels and quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season. At the State Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships. In 2016, Keira won the all-around title with a 37.850 and swept the gold medals on all events at the Level 8 State Championships. Keira wrapped up her level 8 season at the Region 3 Championships where she finished fourth in the all-around with a 38.050 and first on vault with a 9.625. In 2017 as a level 9 gymnast, Keira had a great season where she placed in the top two in every meet she competed in prior to the State Meet. She concluded her season at the Region 3 Championships.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2018, Keira placed third in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around and fourth on vault. She qualified to her first Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH where she finished in the top ten on vault with a 9.525 out of 57 gymnasts. In 2019, Keira grabbed gold medals on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished third in the all-around with a 37.100 and fourth on vault. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she won the vault title with a 9.825 and placed 14th overall with a 37.575. In 2020, Keira qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Keira took home gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.475 at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 38.625, first on vault with a 10.0 and second on balance beam. This qualified Keira to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL where she finished sixth in the all-around with a 38.225, first on vault and ninth on floor exercise out of 56 gymnasts! In the fall of 2021, Keira moved to 316 Gymnastics Academy in Wichita, KS.

Keira missed most of the 2022 due to an injury. She came back in time for the Region 3 Championships where she placed fifth in the all-around and second on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships in Mesa, AZ where she took a gold medal on vault with a 9.825 out of 56 gymnasts.

Currently, Keira trains 24-26 hours per week at 316 Gymnastics Academy in Wichita KS under coaches Tristian Rodriguez and Luminita Cojocaru. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals every year. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
