Kiana began gymnastics at the age of three when she was attending Fort Monroe Child Development Center. Twice a week her car seat would be snapped into the pre-school van as they headed to the “big” military gym to practice. Everyone there noticed Kiana’s natural tumbling abilities. She seemed to have an innate gift for the sport. And, she loved it!

Every week we would be asked, “Have you seen her?” “She is really good.” “You should put her in a gymnastics program.” So, that’s exactly what Kiana's parents did. Kiana joined a gym where they lived called Gymnastics, Inc. in Hampton, VA. She continued the fun in their three-year-old Tumble Bugz’s group. She remained at Gymnastics, Inc. for several years competing in levels 3-6.

Kiana moved to World Class Gymnastics in Newport News, VA in 2013 as a level 7 gymnast where she scored her personal best scores of 9.675 on vault, 9.750 on uneven bars, 9.700 on balance beam, 9.650 on floor exercise and 37.700 all-around. Kiana only competed a few meets at level 8 and moved on to level 9 for the 2015 season. As a level 9 gymnast Kiana scored her personal best scores of 9.700 on vault, 9.350 on uneven bars, 9.375 on balance beam, 9.700 on floor exercise and 37.900 all-around. Kiana was named to America's Top 100 on vault with a 9.700 in level 8.

Kiana made great accomplishments as a level 9 gymnast at the state, regional, and national levels. At the 2016 Level 9 State Championships, Kiana placed third in the all-around with a 37.200, second on vault with a 9.600 and second on floor exercise scoring a 9.600. She was the Level 9 Regional champion on vault (9.550), floor exercise (9.700) and in the all-around (37.900) and silver medalist on uneven bars (9.325). She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Championship where she earned a silver medal on floor exercise in the all-around with a 37.625. She placed in the top seven on all events including a silver medal on vault with a 9.525. Kiana was named to America's Top 100 twice on floor exercise in level 9.

During Kiana's first year at level 10 in 2017, she earned silver medals on balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 9.350 and 9.650 respectively at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.200, third on vault scoring a 9.525 and sixth on floor exercise with a 9.400. Her first attempt as a new level 10, Kiana also qualified to the JO Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she earned a fourth place in the vaulting event with a 9.700. In 2018, Kiana grabbed gold medals on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships and Region 7 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH after finishing second in the all-around with a 37.475 at the Regionals. At the JO Nationals, Kiana placed 16th overall with a 37.725 and fourth on floor exercise. In 2019, Kiana placed second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals.

Kiana would like to thank her coaches for their patience and support while training gymnastics.
