Kit was in dance for a few years but she wanted to try something new,. She saw gymnastics on television during the Olympics and asked her mom if she could try gymnastics. She started taking gymnastics classes at the age of seven at All American Gymnastics Academy in Sioux Falls, SD and has been there ever since. Just one short year later, she started competing level 4 where she was the all-around champion at the State Championships. In 2015, Kit placed second in the all-around with a 37.325 and first on vault at the Level 5 State Championships.

During the 2015-2016 season, Kit skipped level 6, tested out of level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8. At the State Championships, she placed first in the all-around and first on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships. Kit continued competing level 8 in 2017 where she placed first on floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Kit placed in the top ten in the all-around. As a first-year level 9 gymnast in 2018, Kit placed first on floor exercise and third on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished second on balance beam and third on floor exercise.

Kit had a great level 9 season in 2019! She placed first on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.525 at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Spokane, WA where she placed 11th overall and third on balance beam. In 2020, Kit qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Kit trains 16 hours per week at Wings Gymnastics in Sioux Falls, SD under coach Hailey Teske. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals every year. Kit's long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
